Unfortunatly Slingshot decided that he needed to protect Metroplex from the WHOLE autobot army. In an effort to do so he ended up attaching himself to the gigantic city-formers head.

Unable to transform, and equally unable to pry the tiny jet off himself without damaging him, Metroplex was forced to sit in mech form for over three hours before Ratchet was finally able to hit the hissing Slingshot with a tranquilizer dart.

Another two hours later, due to the fact that Slingshots joints had locked when he went into stasis, forcing the other aerialbots to try and pry him off Metroplex's helm, the city-former was finally able to transform.

Ratchet, however, found the whole situation absolutely hilarious (once the fact that he had to FIX Slingshot had been eliminated). Especially once he saw the faces of the rest of the Autobot forces when he informed them that ALL of the jets would do the exact same thing once they found a suitable mate.

Sandstorms face was unanimously agreed as being the funniest out of all of them.

It was agreed that Hot Spot and Silverbolt would be locked in a room when Silverbolt got like this (No one wanted to deal with Silverbolt's powers of electric-channeling) and That Fireflight would totally be the scariest of them all.

Sure enough, when it did happen, Fireflight was like a giant cat, hissing and trying to scratch at anyone (Including Broadside) who got too close to Sandstorm.

Unfortuneatly for Topspin, he didn't think Fireflight could do much damage and came over to poke Sandstorm. The resulting scene was reminiscent of one of those face-eating alien movies.

That is, until Fireflight decided that the rather shiny Topspin would make a good addition to his little harem (currently consisting of one rather bemused Sandstorm and one slightly confused Blades) and locked them all together in his quarters.

Once they were all in there, however, both Topspin and Blades seemed to have been forgotten about and were able to escape quite easily.

Ratchet attributed this to an offshoot of Fireflights often times obsessive collection of shiny trinkets, his short attention span and his tendency to hug any helicopters that came within range.

Eventually, Fireflight went to recapture his helo, and then went to try and catch Whirl, who had wisely locked himself in his room already, and therefore could not be gotten.

So instead Fireflight hung from the rafters outside of Wirl's quarters, hissing sadly when he wouldn't come out and play.

Sandstorm finally managed to lure the mopey jet away from the ceiling by purposely talking to another bot, a hologram generated by a rather bemused Hound, and inciting a jealous rage.

Though Sandstorm had to admit that jealous, angry jet interfacing was ridiculously fun and definitely worth the hissing, snuggly house arrest it eventually induced.

Poor Blades was less impressed, mostly because Fireflight found it fun to nibble his rotors during interface, which wasn't bad, it was just that they got all scratched and less useful afterwards.

Also, having someone else in the room and watching Fireflight with Sandstorm made him feel very uncomfortable.

Sandstorm did suggest seeing what would happen if Fireflight caught them sitting together. (The results were amusing enough to be worth repeating)

Eventually, Fireflight figured out that the best results were gained by jumping Blades and twisting his wings in a way that Sandstorm had always found irrisistable.

Sandstorm: O.o *Watching Fireflight* Must.. resist urge.. to jump...

Ratchet found the whole thing alot less funny when skyfire, also acting on his jet mating protocols, promptly kidnapped both perceptor as well as the entire decepticon elite seeker trine.

It was made especially annoying due to the fact that Perceptor was currently in the middle of a rather important experiment and Prime ordered him to be "rescued" from the space shuttles quarters. Once the experiment was over, however, no-one saw helm or skidplate of the quiet scientest for a very long time.

With the elite trine currently accosted on the autobot base many were worried about attacks from the decepticons designed to retrieve their missing teammates.

Luckily Megatron was rather well informed as to what was causing the problem (having worked with the glitchy fliers for several million years) and promptly called for a ceasefire until the jet mating season was over.

*epic facepalm by ratchet* only if you want people missing important limbs because one of the jets decided they were sitting too close to their claims.

plus, no-one wants to be too close if silverbolt goes psycho. personally, i prefer all of my relays un-blackened, crispy and smoking. speaking of crazy aerialbots though, i am rather surprised that air raid and skydive haven't attached themselves to anyone yet.

Raid: Well, we don't exactly have anyone yet...
Dive: I think we'd best avoid Silverbolt though, I'm worried he'll try to claim us.
Raid: That'd be pretty funny actually.
Dive: Not if he thought someone was coming onto us.

they have to claim someone outside the gestalt. otherwise they would be hissing and clawing at EVERYONE

Raid: i'm actually a little upset about the ceasefire.
Dive: why?

Dive:.... we'd win in like... three minutes. all we'd have to do is say megatron was looking at their claims. he wouldn't live long enough to work out what in the pit was going on.
