OK~
So, i had to go into uni today. Public transport + upset stomach does not a happy laura make *le sigh*
ANYWAY, after slogging it out on trains and buses for an hour i attended my ONE lecture then went to get some lunch.
Guess what? My card expired yesterday and the bank hasn't sent me another one.

Anyone who knows me knows i HATE talking on the phone. Y'know, to the point where I almost have a panic attack after more than a couple minutes. Frigging bank machine wants me to 'state service i want' so i can be connected to a person. Thing is they don't tell you what words are accepted so i spent 20 minutes going "CARD!" into the receiver until it did.

Yay me.

right, so i was back at uni today after 3 months being on holiday
paying attention in class is hard at 8 o'clock in the morning.
my first lecturer was apparently also of this mindset because he was 15 minutes late to a one hour lecture. thus, bluestreak was drawn.





now, noticing that i was doodling picture in my workbook, head muse decided to offer his opinion. sadly this was when the lecturer decided to turn up.





the lecturer, after telling us about our practicle and lecture timetable, informed us that we would be dissecting cane toads in our first lab session.

after all my lectures were finished for the day head muse decided to voice his opinion again... while i was walking to my chemistry lab practicle.




finished with everything (at 5 o'clock in the afternoon) i started to make my way home. 2 hours on a bus... while it was raining... and i'm sick (sore throat, sore ear, queasy)
head muse was still being rather persistent as well so to shut him up i drew this.

goodnight everyone, im gonna go pop some cold and flu pills and go to bed.

today i spent the whole day training in a pool.
i am EXHAUSTED.

I did enjoy the strange looks we kept getting from people who were also using the public pool. it was especially hilarious when i surfaced next to a bunch of high school kids having a swimming lesson and one of them gushed "OH MY GOD!! YOU GUYS ARE SO COOL!!"

I lolled.... hard.... into my respirator... then ended up choking on water a little...

on a similar note, no one ever tells you how HEAVY scuba gear is.

a twenty pound weight belt plus all the rest of that stuff.
i was carrying around more than 2/3 of my body weight when outside of the pool. try climbing one of those little pool ladders with that much weight strapped to your back.

my neck is killing me (runs away to find some anti-inflammatory muscle gel)

Uhh, antepathy wanted to see the doodle i did of sparky in my notebook yesterday.

he's a drone, so no spark, made from bits and pieces out of metroplex's spare drone parts. Slingshot and Scamper put him together as a present for Fireflight. He's tiny, a UAV rather than an actual helicopter, about the size of a large toy for 'Flight.

He's a bit mis-matched because most of the helicopter parts were faulty. so they made him from the parts of about 7 different build-it-yourself drones.

Origins of tiny helo-drone can be found in (yet another crack filled) conversation i had in the comments on tv_the_sues journal.
