I left home for about 15 minutes to drop my car off at the mechanics across the street.
When I got home the door was pulled backwards far enough to bend the hinges but luckily it held.

Someone tried to break in while I was gone....

Scarrry, I am glad you are alright and they didn't get all the way in though. Like somebody up the comment section mentioned, the timing sounds like they had been watching. So, keep your guard up, and watch out, they may give you a few days or a week before they try again. That is what happened when my neighbors were remodeling. Tried, got stopped by an arriving workman, waited a week, and tried again, only to get stopped by a 12 gauge-wielding, pissed off grandma.
