so, i had my first 2 boat dives today.
it was great fun looking at all the pretty fishys and stuff. i got myself a disposable underwater camera so *hopefully* i can upload some pictures sometime this weekend.
i saw a couple schools of flat, silver fish, a school of blue fish with yellow fins, lots of angel fish and coral, a huge clam, a yellow starfish that was bigger than i am and a WOBBEGONG -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wobbegong
Aussies have the most awesome names for stuff :3
yeah, the dives were FANTASTIC!! the surface time in between the dives, not so much. i got WICKED awful seasickness and spent the whole hour and a half purging over the side of the boat.
once the instructor helped me back into my dive gear and under the water though i felt fine again. spent the ride back to shore curled in the fetal position half under my seat though.
i got stung by a little jellyfish (on the hand) too :3
doesn't hurt though.
FUN FACT: apparently, scuba regulators are designed so you can vomit through them. the instructor told me this... i thought it was gross...
(should i be woried that i think "purge" instead of "vomit" now?)
