Remember how a while a go i posted about planting some purple carrots in my garden?



I harvested this bad boy this afternoon and had him with dinner x3
i think he looked like a little walking person before i brutally cut it into little pieces xD

the orange carrot became popular in the middle ages sometime
and they just stopped selling the purple kind
they taste just as nice (if not a bit NICER) and they have more antioxidants in them :3

Plus, they're purple
and that's just funky~

(I still don't like carrots very much, but purple is a much nicer colour than orange)

I love purple carrots! That's what I grew in my garden the last few years, and now I've got all kinds of seeds. I never got a person looking one though - poor little carrot, all chopped up D:

I tried growing carrots once. Nice, sandy soil, right? My carrots were twisted malformed lumps of OMGWTF. ;_;

Hah, i have about a dozen others i need to pick, but i want to wait till they're a bit bigger before i do.

seriously, though. how'd it taste? i've been contemplating purple carrots for our garden (yay vitamin content!), since they're compatible with our region, but i'm leery because i've never actually tried them.
