Ratchet almost always kept the berth in the far back of the bay empty on quiet nights like this. Being closest to the supply cupboards, it was usually piled high with new parts needing to be catalogued and put away.
This night however, as with many of the long nights spent doing inventory, the berth had a different occupant. Sheilded from the rest of the bay by a wall of scanners and other medical equipment shoved up the back and out of the way, Bluestreak recharged quietly.
Lulled to sleep by the sounds of the monitors and footfalls of the medic as he walked backwards and forwards.
In truth, Ratchet was quite glad for the company. Even if Bluestreak was completely dead to the world at the moment.
The gunner needed the rest, the silence of his quarters and general feeling of unease it instilled in him often leading to him falling into recharge in the rec room. Needless to say, couches were not the best place for a mech of his frame type to sleep.
Many a twisted doorwing had to be repaired before it was finally suggested that this was perhaps the much better option. Neither mech involved were all that inclined to argue.
