I know how that feeling is, dealing with the phone. I practically have to psych my self up and practice what I'm going to say beforehand. Then if it goes to voicemail when I expected an answer/someone answers when I expected voicemail, it really throws me off. >_>
And I absolutely HATE voice-activated phone systems. "If you want to add money to your GoPhone account, say 'ADD MONEY'." Fuck that shit, tell me to press 1. Nothing like being out in public and having people hear just your side of things. Especially when you just then get transferred to a non-voice-activated system.
A lot of systems, though, you can just hit 0 until you get a person on the phone. Sure, they might have to transfer you, but at least you can explain in human terms what you need.
