uni stuff

I had to organize a meeting with the dean for friday regarding my re-enrolment. Needless to say I'm freaking out.

I feel like a school kid being sent to the principles office, like i did something wrong, even though i know i didn't.

The lecturers didn't hand back a 25% assignment until the night before a major exam and didnt give me time to relearn something which i had obviously understood wrong.

This in turn made me freak out about the OTHER pieces of assessment i hadn't gotten back for my other subjects and subsequently tank all 3 final exams. All of them were worth between 50-60% of my final grade and you had to pass them to pass the subject, regardless of how many marks you had beforehand.

so now i have to go talk to the dean.... and im terrified

Take a deep breath and relax. Just remember you are an adult, not a teenager. It's your money that went towards the class, so think of it as going to a customer service representative rather than a principal

These things are always scary, because it seems like so much depends on them. Keep in mind you did nothing wrong--you have no reason to be nervous. Stay calm, and keep in mind that they are just as interested in an accommodation with you as you are with them.

*Agrees with both of the above and gives a big hug*

Just remember he's a fuckwit and you'll feel better. All deans are Fuckwits. That's my experience anyway.

*hugs*

I hope it goes well. I'm sure it will if you explain the situation to him as you did here.
