If it was ferals like cats or rabbits or wild pigs (huuuuge problem in australia) or because of over population (aklsdhas KANGAROOS!! people get all uppity when we have kangaroo kullings but they're NECESSARY because the kangaroo population is WAY too big in some areas. the meat at least gets used and the poor roos don't get put to waste. the ones that survive lead a better life for it too)

I think it's to do with being a pom emigrating here and being over bombarded with the Skippy factor, in the UK, at an extremely young age LOL.
My cats, however, love their kangaroo petmeat. And it stops them catching birds :-)
And just for a laugh - in the NT frozen kangaroo tails are listed as an offensive weapon. :D
