Well, this week is shaping up to win the award for "shitest week of my life".
Granddad isn't getting any better in the hospital, he's getting worse and when we went to visit him practically bequeathed his cook-books to my brother and i.
yeah, crying much.

I'm so sorry sweetie - sending lots of thoughts and love to you and your grandfather and the rest of your family.

I had the great good fortune to know and be close to all four of my grandparents, and a little time to say goodbye, as incredibly hard as it is at the time, can feel like a good thing years later. I'm sure it's a great comfort to him to know he has grandchildren like you, that he can pass on the things that are important to him to someone he loves. Hopefully not just yet though - hang in there *hugs*
